Itinerary

The first day is dedicated to visiting the capital, Nouakchott. In the morning, we'll visit the market, followed by the National Museum (the museum is closed on Fridays, Sundays, and Saturdays). In the evening, we'll visit the fish market to see the sailors returning.

Departing the capital in the morning towards Akjoujt, having lunch on the road. In the evening, arriving in Azouika, where the longest sand dunes in Mauritania are located, approximately 300 meters from the capital. Spending the night there in tents (there are no hotels near the place).

Departure in the morning towards the city of Atar, a sandy road with scenic views. Lunch in Atar, visit to the market in the evening, then return to the hotel for the night.

In the morning, head towards the historic city of Ouadane 180‪ kilometers , a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening, visit the old city and spend the night in a hotel there.

In the morning, head to Chinguetti, a 90-kilometer drive. Chinguetti is historic city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening, visit the libraries and the old city, then return to the hotel.

Head in the morning towards Wadi Amheirith, one of the largest palm valleys in Mauritania. Continue to the beautiful Terjit Oasis, known for its refreshing springs and lush palm groves. Overnight near the oasis.

Head in the morning to the Arguin Basin Reserve where migratory bird species can be found.

In the morning we head towards the capital Nouakchott where we drive near the beach to enjoy birdwatching and pass by traditional fishing villages.
